For four weeks, selected young makers share the search for their artistic voice and the story they want to tell. They express themselves in words, images, movements and other media that (should) find refuge under the overarching concept of theatre. Without having to meet the expectations of a full-fledged performance in the process.

Every day they meet at NTGent Minnemeers, where they focus on their own discipline and research. Not until the last week of the residency do they bring their work and worlds together. Whether they clash in their fragility or fuse in their individuality, it promises to be a surprising and uncompromising whole in which every element (yes, including you) is equally valid. At the end of November, the makers show the result of their (harmonious) clash.

NTGent XS - short for eXtra Space - was created to imagine the future together: careful but radical, polyphonic but decisive.
