In "Antigone in de Amazone" transponeert de Zwitserse regisseur en nieuwe Festwochen-regisseur Milo Rau het oude materiaal van Sophocles naar Zuid-Amerika. Antigone neemt het onder meer op tegen de Braziliaanse landbouwindustrie.
