NTGent starts its season with a loud bang! A series of activities as a sample of what a city theatre can (and must) be. Don't miss this appointment with the future, discover the main features of the new NTGent and write along with us on theatre history. Create your own classics, because the future is yours!

Welcome to the city theatre of the future!

During the opening weekend there will be the premiere of Milo Rau's Lam Gods, a panorama of Ghent, restaging the most famous Belgian painting with actors and citizens from today. We present the premiere of Ghent visual artist Miet Warlop’s Ghost Writer & The Broken Hand Break, in collaboration with Vooruit. We present the Belgian premiere of Not Another Diva by Congolese choreographer Faustin Linyekula and South African actress and choreographer Hlengiwe Lushaba. There are installations, speeches and presentations by our artists-in-residence Action Zoo Humain and Renzo Martens. There is our Truth Box, a format with the newspaper De Standaard in which people are interviewed while they are connected to a lie detector. And there is a party, of course! Are you in?
